Our competitions
Linked closely to the guidelines of the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign we arrange competitions, support the RHS “It’s Your Neighbourhood” assessment scheme, Pride in your Community, run a Schools Gardening Competition and one for tourism businesses. To cap it all we nominate finalists into Britain in Bloom for national recognition.
Pride in Your Community
The aim of the competition is to encourage the improvement of our surroundings through the imaginative use of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood
Open to volunteer led groups that are improving and greening up their local environment through gardening and environmental activities.
Tourism
Tourism is vital for Cumbria’s people and economy. This competition is to encourage operators of tourism related businesses make an attractive impact Cumbria in Bloom’s Toursim
Schools Gardening
Most children love messing about in gardens. This competition encourages schools to show how gardening benefits children’s learning with prizes awarded for the best.
